GORE-TEX PRO 3-LAYER
Engineered for extended and extreme conditions, our GORE-TEX Pro outerwear is the optimum solution to meet the needs of our team, outdoor professionals, and serious skiers with tough, extremely breathable, waterproof and windproof protection. All components are built for maximized ruggedness while strict textile performance specifications ensure optimum strength and must pass Gore’s toughest test conditions and most aggressive rainstorm test.
Our GORE-TEX Pro 3-layer construction comprises a special high performance GORE-TEX membrane bonded to a tough outer material and Gore’s patent pending Micro Grid Backing. The benefit is no movement between the three layers, which means even greater durability, and incredibly strong yet lightweight garment.
GORE-TEX PRODUCTS
Armada garments engineered with GORE-TEX product technology are durably waterproof and wind-proof combined with optimized breathability. Our GORE-TEX outerwear is guaranteed to maximize the wearers’ protection and comfort.
MICROGRID BACKING TECHNOLOGY
Used in our GORE-TEX Pro 3L products, this technology improves garment comfort and performance using an innovative patent pending internal backer fabric. This technology improves internal abrasion and snag resistance, enhances garment breathability and decreases garment weight. It also allows the garment to slide easily over mid-layers.
MEGAREX
Developed to deliver a high standard of performance and a multitude of looks, our MegaRex Fabric is a two-layer fabric with a waterproof/breathable laminate or coating plus DWR finish. MegaRex is durable, delivering excellent waterproofing and breathability in two ratings: 10,000mm/10,000g and 20,000mm/20,000g.
LiNING SYSTEMS

Superflo Lining System
Our SuperFlo Lining System is our strategically placed lining system for our 2-layer garments. It was developed to maximize function and comfort by allowing heat and moisture to escape easily, and provide snag-free layering and extra warmth in just the right places.
Our jackets are lined with reverse tricot fleece in the shoulders to provide warmth while its smooth face allows the jacket to slide during activity and allow proper alignment. Two types of mesh line the rest of the interior. Our custom Outland-printed mesh is used in the body for the combination of warmth and breathability while its slick-face ensures great mobility by allowing snag-free movement between layers. Last, the under arm area is lined with a large open-mesh for maximum airflow and quick temperature regulation.
The SuperFlo Lining in the pants utilizes fleece in the seat, open mesh in the inner leg area and the Outland-printed mesh for the rest.

Outerwear tech

Our PolyFill insulation is a lightweight material made from polyester fibers that insulates even when wet.

Our down insulation is intended for use in the coldest conditions and offer the highest-level warmth to weight ratios. We only use high quality European down feathers that reach that minimum 600 fill-power
New for 12/13, out down jacket is constructed with a 20k/20k, seam-sealed exterior and utilizes super-soft and lightweight 20D fabric lining on the inside with interior baffling to further reduce weight and add comfort. This one-two punch will knock back the worst Mother Nature dishes out and keep you warm in any weather.

Found exclusively in our Vector series, Thinsulate insulation will help keep you warm without unnecessary weight or bulk, and brings more freedom of movement and comfort to your clothing making it the perfect match for our lightweight Gore-Tex fabrics. Because the fibers in Thinsulate insulation are finer than the fibers used in most other synthetic or natural insulation, they trap more air in less space.

At Armada we strongly support mountain safety and avalanche education in the backcountry. If you spend any time out of bounds, we urge you to get educated and be properly equipped. It is in this spirit we are very proud of our partnership with RECCO and feature their reflectors in our line.
RECCO is an avalanche rescue system utilized worldwide to facilitate the rapid location of burials. The two parts-reflector and detector-enable rapid pinpointing using harmonic radar but are not a substitute for transceiver use. Complementary in function, the RECCO system increases the chance of being found in time.

All Armada Outerwear is 100% seam sealed. Every seam is welded or taped to guarantee the waterproofing of the garment.

YKK’s AQUAGUARD Water Repellent Zippers are used to seal off our garments from the elements. Both the AQUAGUARD COIL and new for 12/13, AQUAGUARD VISLON are used in our line. The AQUAGUARD VISLON had the advantage of plastic teeth that run smoother in winter weather and provide more opportunity for color combinations.
YKK Zippers are used as our standard throughout the line to provide quality zippers you can count on. We use YKK Water Repellent Zippers on some of our garments to help seal them off from the elements.

The Reactive Hood System provides the ability to easily react to changing mountain weather. The system utilizes a 3-way adjustment, accessible from inside and outside the jacket, and a quick release pull to instantly loosen the hood. All excess bungee stores out of your way inside the jacket.

Our new IPP System provides a simple interface between your jacket’s powder skirt and pant that will prevent upward movement so it won’t ride up and will stay in place all day long
