WHEN WAS THE FIRST TIME YOU SAW SNOW?
It was during the winter of my inaugural year on earth.
IN YOUR GEAR BAG?
Food, clothing, shelter
YOUR FAVORITE TERRAIN TO RIDE?
Pillows
WHAT WAS YOUR HIGH FROM THIS PAST SEASON OF 10/11?
I was High all season. For me it started on Oct 27th with 4 feet of pow and it didn’t end till june. It was the best winter of my life.
AND THE LOW?
I hurt my knee during a two month filming trip to BC which kept me off my skis for about 3 weeks. Luckily I was able to ride shotgun with Karl the Gnarl during that time and we enjoyed the powder from the comfort of his Bombardier.
FAVORITE SKIER OF THIS PAST SEASON?
There were many great skiing achievements last season. I was very amazed and inspired by Andreas Fransson’s solo 1st descent of the south face of Denali.
HOW WOULD SOMEONE ELSE DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE? Passion.
FILMING CREW, AND WHAT MAKES THEM YOUR CHOICE TO WORK WITH?
I prefer to film with my brother. Even though at times we argue like a couple school girls, he is someone I can count on out in the field. We think alike which makes it easy to be efficient, an important skill to have when filming.
INFLUENCES IN SKIING: CR Johnson
WORST TREND IN SKIING? Icy, crusty hoodies and T’s on a powder day.
WHAT WAS THE MOMENT OF THE BIGGEST BREAKTHROUGH IN YOUR SKIING PROGRESSION?
When I moved to Utah I fell in love with powder at age 14. It was then that my skiing took a new direction and I have been on that path ever since.
WHATS PLAYING IN YOUR CAR AND ON YOUR HEADPHONES WHEN YOU RIDE?
I don’t ride with headphones. In my car, 80% of the time I’m tuned into 94.1 KODJ jamming out to the super hits of the 60’s and 70’s.
WHAT DREW YOU TO BE A PART OF THE ARMADA FAMILY?
At first I thought the colors on their skis were kind of neat, but then the modern day JJ was born which changed everything.
INFLUENCES OUTSIDE OF SKIING?
Family
WHAT WAS YOUR MOST INTERESTING JOB EVER?
